This is by far the best Middle Eastern movie I've seen which is named after the book from where the story was drawn. It features the life of two kids, amir and hassan, who grew up during fall of Afghanistan to war and such. certain events shook them - violence, poverty, war .. their friendship is questioned in an act of violence against hassan where amir failed to prevent and jss fled. Theme features guilt and redemption as Amir returns to Afghan from US after 20 decades .. beautiful movie ... quite liked the direction, acting, cinematography and especially the music score ... :)

They say, sometimes you find what you are looking for in the most uncommon places. I guess that's true  :D
